RED HATTERS

Text Box: “When I am an old woman,
I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn’t go,
and doesn’t suit me.”

The Red Hat Society Website!
Text Box: Many local chapters of the Red Hat Society have found A Spot For Tea to be a perfect gathering spot for socializing, dining and taking tea. After all thats what the Red Hats are all about. There is only one rule for the Red Hats and that is to Have Fun!

Upon reaching their 50th birthday, members are invited to don the “official” attire: a red hat and purple frock. Fledgling members - those under the age of 50 - may also join, but are asked to wear pink hats and lavender outfits until they come of age. Each chapter has a “queen” and its own name, the more
outrageous, the better.

A Spot For Tea’s staff look forward to serving all Red Hatters. So, if you’re looking for a special experience for your group, give us a call or send us an email to reserve your date and time. We may never have the pleasure of serving all 32,000 chapters of the Red Hat Society, but we would like to try! Red Hats do not arrive - they descend. It is always a joy to have them in our tearoom.!

We were fortunate to host the Queen’s Quarterly Meeting in April 2008.  Check out our blog  to read more about it.
