Mothers are so important that it seems they should get more than just one day to recognize them for everything they do. They should at least get the entire weekend. Start Mother’s Day weekend off right with a trip to A Spot For Tea and treat her like royalty. For those wanting to come in and have lunch, we are accepting reservations for groups of all sizes. This is our busiest day of the year, so we recommend reservations for everyone. We will also be hosting our fourth annual Mother’s Day Tea. There will be two sittings: 11:00am and 1:30pm. Each sitting will include hot tea, three tiered tea tray and a special favor for each guest. Carnations will also be handed out to mothers. As you are welcomed up the stairs (we also have an elevator) our entire second level will be transformed into a delightful world where each lady will be treated like a queen. You will find a lovely printed menu on your table listing all of the delicacies. The menu will include cherry scones with lemon glaze, turkey and herbed cheese tea sandwiches and caramel pecan cheesecake bites just to name a few. We feel it is one of the best Mother’s Day tea menu we’ve ever offered. We will be serving wonderful hot teas including the new Hot Mama seasonal tea. Iced tea will also be available for those who just have to drink the wonderful raspberry iced tea. Each tiny detail has been planned down to the special live music from Julie Clifford. Julie is a local pianist whose music has filled the tearoom for years. She played live last year during our Mother’s Day Tea and we are excited to have her back this year. Reservations and pre-payment are required for the Mother’s Day Tea. They can be made over the phone or in person and will taken until Friday, May 9, space permitting. Price is $16.99 per person and includes tax and gratuity. Cancellations are fully refundable. This is our most popular event and has been a cherished tradition for many. Treat yourself and that special woman in your life to tea for Mother’s Day. |
