Text Box: “Big Profits from Your Smallest Customer” 2006 Review
The following is a review from Tea House Times www.teahousetimes.com by Lady Gayle:

These ladies put on a terrific program. Sharing their EXPERIENCE is very helpful to other tea room owners. Their approach with children’s parties and fresh, unique ideas were inspiring. The message is this, and we all know it: “Children need a safe haven.” They are all beautiful just the way they are. Bring it back, make them all feel special and respected. Get down to a child’s level. Make them feel special. Take their photos, create a file and remember them next time they visit. Create a memory through family photos (all dressed up). Decorate and serve unforgettable foods. Encourage good manners and teach the basics at least. Promote your offerings through brochures to your customers, a newsletter (at least 5x per year), your website, etc. Word of mouth is your best advertising. So be sure to create an unforgettable experience. Use media to promote! They love stories about children’s tea parties and charity events. Post all the great thank you notes you receive at your business for others to read.

Text Box: World Tea Expo June 2008

It was very exciting news owner, Tammy Seibert and manager, Ashlie Cravens
received the end of October. They have been selected for a third year in a row to be speakers at the 2008 World Tea Expo! The Expo moves back to Las Vegas and the Mandalay Bay Convention Center May 30 - June 1.

Exciting changes have been made to the conference program to better meet the
diverse needs of attendees. Tammy and Ashlie’s presentation will be during the core
conference program which has been narrowed down to 36 presentations focusing on intermediate and advanced content. Below is the description of their new
presentation:

This Isn’t Your Grandma’s Tearoom

Open to the possibility of expanding beyond the traditional tearoom setting into a multi-faceted tea event center. Learn why having diversification can increase bottom-line sales. More room + more people = more sales. Remove the fear of
growing to a new level and see why bigger isn’t bad.

By the end of this session attendees will be able to:

Implement tried and tested techniques from a successful tea event center model
Overcome fear and confidently expand tearoom operations
Create organizational tools to help orchestrate multiple events
Effectively promote tearoom event center through multi-media
Make their tea event center the common element in the top ten reasons for celebration.
